Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. Gender, date of birth, health status, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length are the six facts we need to return carrier rates. Your name, phone and email are only collected if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The quotes shown represent what each carrier offers for the health class you selected. After you apply, the carrier's underwriting may confirm that class, move you to a different one, or adjust coverage. Quotes on this site are estimates for comparison only, not a guarantee of price or policy.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name and move into the secure application from the carrier you selected, which we prefill with your previous answers. You can pause and return anytime. A licensed California insurance agency, Susman Insurance Agency (License 0B75129), handles the entire process.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the carrier, the coverage amount, and your health profile. Many carriers now offer accelerated underwriting that skips the exam for qualified applicants; we note for each quote whether an exam is required, likely, or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
A term policy should last as long as your obligations would hurt your household if your income stopped: until your mortgage is paid, your children are independent, or business loans are settled. Ten to thirty years covers most scenarios. You can compare all these terms side by side in our quote tool.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool never asks for your name or contact information. We don't sell or share visitor data and we use cookieless measurement that doesn't track across sites. Full details are on our privacy page.
